After obtaining the first Hong Kong EMSD certification for a home elevator in 2014, Sakura Elevator once again achieved Hong Kong EMSD certification for a freight elevator with a load capacity of 6000kg in 2021.
The Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) is one of the few organizations globally that have stringent certification standards for elevators. In accordance with the Lifts and Escalators Ordinance, it has established multiple standards for qualified equipment, quality control, safety verification, and more, to ensure that elevators are maintained in a properly maintained and safe operating condition.
After obtaining the Hong Kong EMSD certification in 2014, Sakura Home Elevator immediately began selling elevators throughout Hong Kong. In 2021, our freight elevators once again obtained the Hong Kong EMSD certification, and production and logistics factories of well-known Hong Kong enterprises immediately selected our freight elevators. In addition, we have obtained certifications from multiple countries such as Singapore's TÜV, the United States' UL, and the European Union's CE.
